  1. Master
    Expressive composition
Looks almost exactly like the original
    Beautifully layered contour lines

    Figure
    Styles are the same
Hand looks identical to master hand
Altered yet similar body positions cleverly make the two works appear as a series and not like exact replicas

  2. You did a great job interpreting the skeletal quality and mark making of his work. The second piece was successful in its mark making, but would have liked to see more of the raw aspects carried into this piece.

  3. Excellent translation in overall composition and style of Schiele. The elongation of the body while keeping things in proportion is successful. The fact that you tried to incorporate a similar pose as the original probably helped you delve into Schiele’s mindset even further. Like Dani’s study, you were able to capture the varying line weight throughout the entire composition.

  4. Your master copy is done really well. The line work is very nice. The study is nicely done in the same style. The contours and shadows are really great. Both the master and the study look like were from the same series.

  5. enjoyed learning about the artist chosen because the style is gestural and has great contour. The art is very loose and is simple and pleasing. The two drawings the student presented did look good together.

  6. The study could use some shading, but overall you did a great job in copying the style and feel of the master copy.

  7. Flat, outlines but still shaded and muscularly accurate, expressive. Focus on foreshortening to hold integrity. For instance, the overlapping him, to thigh, to calves. Your Copy piece is readable but still slightly to cautious to feel like the master's.

  8. Your rendered the emaciated style of the Master very successfully in both pieces. The Master copy looks exactly like the original and your Master study is equally as strong in both composition and in stylistic quality. I also liked that you chose to draw a male figure for your Master study, nicely done!

  9. Your study embodies the mark making and stylistic choices of your master’s piece amazingly well, I love all the shading on the figure’s.

  10. I enjoyed the simplicity of your artist work and how you captured that in your master study. I would have liked to see a bit more of that grotesque figure portrayed in your second drawing but overall your work was very nice

  11. Study looks just like a Schiele. Accurately captured his style.
